Become a HOUSEPARENT
Are you and your partner…
- one of many couples finding it hard to stay afloat in today’s tough economy?
-
college graduates with hefty student loans to pay?
-
empty nesters who miss having kids around?
Apply to become houseparents to at-risk teens with the Community Service Foundation (CSF) foster care program, in eastern Pennsylvania. CSF’s houseparents come from many backgrounds and locations around the U.S, but they all share the desire to work with young people. As one CSF houseparent put it: “You get back so much more than you give!”
CSF foster parents:
- live expense free, with paid living expenses and benefits and regular time off, in one of 12 beautiful suburban homes in lovely neighborhoods, in Bucks or Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
- receive a full-time salary for one houseparent and a part-time salary for another, who can hold another job.
- provide care and supervision to a maximum of 6 boys or girls, ages 12 to 18, who are court ordered into the care of CSF due to behavior or family problems. (All foster youth attend CSF schools from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, year round.)
- receive extensive, ongoing training and support from CSF in how to be a restorative houseparent.
- are at least 21 and possess a clear criminal check, child abuse clearance and a current driver’s license.
For further information and to interview for a houseparent position, contact Rev Rhodes at 267-718-1326 or houseparents@csfbuxmont.org.
